Interior minister reviews procedures at border crossings

AMMAN — Minister of Interior Salameh Hammad on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the follow-up committee of border crossings and airport affairs. Talks during the meeting attended by number of top officials focussed on tightening health and preventive measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 via border crossings, commercial shipments, goods and passengers in light of the rise in the number of infections.
The meeting also reviewed technical and administrative measures implemented at border crossings, especially Jaber and Omari crossings, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Hammad reiterated the government’s keenness to implement measures that serve the interests of citizens, notably in the fields of health and economy.
