AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Ahmad Safadi on Thursday said that the crimes of the Israeli occupation in Jenin, which led to the death of nine Palestinians, proves that the occupation favours a brutal approach, in violation of international legitimacy resolutions.
Safadi called on the government to work hand in hand with other countries to stop the crimes of Israel, and deter it from practising brutality against defenceless Palestinians, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He also stressed that Israeli military escalation reflects the extremism of Israeli leaders.
The Lower House speaker affirmed that the Israeli government is causing more tension within the Palestinians territories, warning of the dangerous escalation that threatens to “detonate the situation” in the region in general.
Such Israeli actions undermine efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace, which requires immediate and rapid intervention by the international community to stop all the heinous violations of Israel against Palestinians.
