His Majesty receives US defence academy delegates

AMMAN – His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday met a number of senior officers from the US Army National Defence University (Capstone Fellow). 

Discussions covered the latest regional and international developments, especially efforts to fight terrorism and extremist groups, which threatens the safety and security of the world, a Royal Court statement said. 

The delegates offered their condolences to the King over the killing of Jordanian pilot Muath Kasasbeh at the hands of the so-called Islamic State. 

Also on Thursday, HRH Prince Feisal met the delegation at the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army headquarters and discussed ways to boost bilateral ties.

Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh received the Capstone delegation Thursday and briefed them on Jordan’s position on the war against terrorism. 

Judeh pointed out that Jordan will continue with its participation in the war against terrorism in defence of Islam, stressing the strong Jordanian-US relations and continued joint coordination, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The meeting covered several regional issues as well as developments at the regional and global levels.
