AMMAN — Health Minister Nathir Obeidat on Tuesday decided to set a new price range for the polymerise chain reaction (PCR) test in private laboratories, the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported.

During a press briefing, Obeidat noted that the test, which is conducted to detect COVID-19 infections, will be available for a minimum cost of JD25 and a maximum of JD30, instead of JD35.

The minister urged private labs to adhere to the newly set fees, adding that the ministry will directly follow up on any complaints or reports of violations, Petra reported.
