Health minister meets with planning committee

AMMAN — Health Minister Mahmoud Sheyyab stressed the need to improve the administrative, technical and operational performance of medical staff in hospitals and health centres, during a meeting with the ministry’s planning committee on Saturday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Sheyyab instructed the relevant authorities in the ministry, in coordination with the Civil Service Bureau, to complete the procedures for appointing a number of health staff, according to the needs of health directorates, and distribute the personnel according to the needs of the provinces, Petra added.

He also discussed with the committee issues related to security in hospitals, and highlighted the commitment of all health and nursing staff to abide by work regulations and instructions. Petra added that the health directors gave a “detailed explanation” of the “reality” of health services in the Kingdom.
