Gov’t reviewing legislation to improve business environment — Hammouri

AMMAN — Preparing the youth to enter the job market is a government priority, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Tareq Hammouri said on Sunday, noting that measures are under  way to create more jobs and curb unemployment. In a visit to the Aqaba Chamber of Commerce, Hammouri highlighted the importance of cooperation between the public and private sectors in enabling the youth to benefit from available opportunities.

The government is currently reviewing legislation to improve the Kingdom’s business environment and rectify certain issues with economic sectors, Hammouri said. During his visit, the minister stressed the importance of monitoring markets to ensure the adequate provision of goods and the stability of prices.
