Gharaibeh undergoes quarantine after Iraqi minister tests COVID-19 positive

AMMAN — Minister of State for Media Affairs Amjad Adaileh on Monday said that Iraqi Minister of Communications Arkan Shibani was tested positive for COVID-19, after arriving in the Kingdom for an official visit.
Adaileh said that Shibani is welcomed in Jordan and he has the freedom to receive medical care in the Kingdom or return to Iraq, according to a statement from Adaileh's office. Shibani arrived in Jordan on Friday and underwent a COVID-19 test as part of the procedures followed upon receiving official delegations.
Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Muthana Gharaibeh who received Shibani at the airport is currently in home quarantine and working remotely, Adaileh added.
