Fuel derivative prices decrease in 3rd week of July

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources says that global prices of fuel derivatives fell in the third week of July compared with the second week (JT file)

AMMAN — Global prices of fuel derivatives fell in the third week of July compared with the second week, according to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

Data released by the ministry on Tuesday showed that the price of 90-octane gasoline dropped from $787 per tonne to $786 per tonne, showing a decrease of about 0.1 per cent, while the price of 95-octane remained unchanged at $829 per tonne.

Diesel price fell from $699 per tonne to $691 per tonne, a decrease of about 1 per cent. Kerosene price went down from $761 per tonne to $750 per tonne, also a decrease of about 1 per cent.

Fuel oil prices fell by 2 per cent, from $514 per tonne to $504 per tonne. The average price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas in July remained stable at around $569 per tonne, the same as in June.

The price of Brent crude oil also fell, from $87 per barrel to $86 per barrel, marking a decrease of around 1 per cent.
