AMMAN — Jordan has managed to maintain its stability and security despite regional challenges, and is heading towards building a modern state, Senate President Faisal Fayez said on Tuesday.
During a meeting with George Loucaides, rapporteur for the Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Fayez said that the Kingdom is implementing significant political and economic reforms that aim to encourage partisanship, empowering youth and women and increasing popular participation in politics, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He also emphasised the "deep-rooted" nature of Jordan-EU relations in various political, economic and parliamentary fields.
