Customs foil hashish-smuggling attempt at border

AMMAN — Aqaba Customs Department personnel have foiled an attempt to smuggle a “large amount” of hashish, the department’s spokesperson, Col. Imad Nseir, said on Tuesday.
Nseir said that customs personnel found the illegal substance in a truck laden with fruits that was heading to a neighbouring country after an X-ray inspection, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
