AMMAN — HRH Crown Prince Hussein on Wednesday inaugurated the engineering workshops facility at Maan University College, affiliated with Balqa Applied University.
Crown Prince Hussein toured the building, established upon Royal directives to train students and hone their skills, and stressed the need to strike a balance between theoretical education and practical application of knowledge, as well as providing an educational environment that emulates professional firms and institutions, to ensure graduates’ readiness for the labour market, according to a Royal Court statement.
His Royal Highness listened to a briefing on the facility, which includes three fully equipped engineering workshops, extending over an area of 700 square metres, to serve students in technical majors.
Maan University College Dean Sattam Khatib said the recent introduction of a group of new technical majors has increased the number of enrolled students from 347 to over 1,200 students in 13 majors.
Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi and Balqa Applied University President Ahmad Ajlouni attended the inauguration.
