Child dies in Zarqa house fire, 9 injured

AMMAN — A child died and nine others were injured in a house fire in Zarqa on Wednesday. The Public Security Directorate spokesperson, in a statement,  said that a Civil Defence team in Zarqa extinguished a fire which broke out in a house in Zarqa.

The child died as a result of severe burns, and nine others suffered from shortness of breath as a result of inhaling smoke. The child and injured individuals were transferred to Zarqa Governmental Hospital, the spokesperson said, adding that an investigation began to identify the cause of the fire.
