CDD higher council discusses early warning siren system

AMMAN — The Higher Council of the Civil Defence Department (CDD) on Tuesday discussed the early warning siren system, of which the first stage, entailing the installation of 112 sirens in different parts of Amman, has been carried out.
At the meeting, attended by CDD Director General Lt. Gen. Talal Kofahi, discussions dealt with proposals to enhance services that can be provided to the public through the project.
The project seeks to ensure public safety by informing people of any natural disasters or security threats.
