AMMAN — The Central Bank of Jordan's (CBJ) Cyber Incident Response Team for the financial and banking sector (Jo-FinCERT) has been recognised and welcomed as a member of the international Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams organisation, known as "FIRST".
This recognition marks a significant step towards enhancing the technical and professional capabilities of the team in dealing with the increasing cyber security challenges facing the financial and banking sectors, said Khaldoon Al Washah, CBJ deputy governor.
Established in 1990, "FIRST" specialises in incident response teams and cyber security. It includes multiple global companies and institutions who share an interest in improving cyber security. Members of the organisation are able to benefit from the experiences and knowledge of other members, as well as share the best tools and practices in cyber security and incident response, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Wednesday.
