AMMAN — Regional Crises and conflicts require all parties to work jointly through consultation, coordination and dialogue to defend the security and stability of the region as a whole, Acting Lower House Speaker Nassar Qaisi said on Tuesday.

During a meeting with a Turkish parliamentary delegation, chaired by Head of the Turkish-Jordanian Friendship Committee Hulya Narges, Qaisi warned of negative repercussions on Syrian unity, calling for supporting all initiatives seeking to reach a political and comprehensive settlement that can end the suffering of the Syrian people.

As for the Palestinian issue, the MP stressed that it will continue to be Jordan’s central cause, reiterating that Jerusalem is the concern of all Arabs and Muslims, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Narges said that Ankara supports Hashemite Custodianship over holy sites in Jerusalem and that Turkey supports Palestinians’ right to statehood.
