‘7 suspects arrested in Balqa raid’

AMMAN – Gendarmerie Forces and Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel on Wednesday arrested seven “dangerous” suspects in Balqa, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The suspects were barricaded in a house and resisted arrest, exchanging gunfire with the security force.
The troops raided the house, arrested the suspects and confiscated a large amount of synthetic cannabis (known locally as “joker”) and a number of weapons and ammunition, Petra reported. One officer was injured in the raid and was reported in fair condition.
