48 families evacuated due to heavy rainfall, snow

AMMAN — The Ministry of Social Development’s staff evacuated 48 families and five individuals by Thursday morning and offered them essential supplies.
The ministry’s central emergency centre said that a family residing in a tent in the western region of Amman, refused to be evacuated to a furnished apartment, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Civil Defence Department’s personnel in the Northern Valley evacuated 10 households after heavy rainfall created damages and cracks in their houses, Petra added.
