30,000 underprivileged families get food coupons — ministry

AMMAN — The Social Development Ministry on Sunday distributed food coupons to 30,000 underprivileged beneficiary families nationwide, with a value of JD100 for each coupon, on the occasion of His Majesty King Abdullah’s birthday.

In a statement cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the ministry said that food  coupon distribution was held under Royal initiatives aiming at alleviating the difficult hardships facing beneficiary families in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ministry also noted that households can use these coupons at the civil and military service consumer corporations across the Kingdom.
