AMMAN — Several local and regional institutions have condemned Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
In a statement issued in its last meeting for the just-adjourned extraordinary session, the Senate denounced “the continued Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, which comes as a part of systematic aggressive Israeli measures targeting the land and the man all over Palestine”.
The General Iftaa Department on Thursday said that the occupation forces’ current assault on Gaza is “a crime against humanity, by all standards”.
The department issued a statement in which it called on “all people in the world with a conscience” to stand against the aggression, denounce Israel’s practices and ensure Palestinians their legitimate rights.
The Jordan Medical Association (JMA) and the Jordanian Dental Association on Thursday also condemned the Israeli offensive and expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people as they resist the occupation and its belligerent policies.
The JMA said words like “condemnation” and “denouncement” are no longer enough to express the will of Arab peoples and blamed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to expand the attack on the enclave for the current destruction and the death of innocent martyrs.
The Arab Women Parliamentarians’ Forum on Thursday condemned the Israeli assault and expressed shock at the international stance on the Israeli attacks on Gaza, including that of the UN and Security Council.
