AMMAN — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned on Saturday the ongoing and systematic targeting of Palestinian refugee shelters and United Nations centres in the Gaza Strip.
The latest of these attacks was the assault on a school sheltering displaced persons in the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza on Saturday, which is a violation of international law.
Ministry's spokesperson Sufian Qudah reiterated the Kingdom’s condemnation and absolute denunciation of these actions and crimes, which represent a “blatant” violation of international law.
Qudah said that such actions contradict all humanitarian and moral values and constitute war crimes that the international community must confront and hold the perpetrators accountable for.
The spokesperson called on the international community to assume its responsibility and deter Israel from committing further crimes against civilians and to stop its senseless war on the Gaza Strip.
