JFDA declares food security as a national priority

AMMAN — Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) Director General Nizar Mhaidat on Wednesday stated that the Royal vision has been proactive in prioritising food security as a national priority for years. He said, during a seminar on "Food Safety Systems" organised by the administration in collaboration with the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, that there has been a directive to establish a system ensuring the preservation of food security in Jordan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.  The system includes enhancing food production, maintaining a secure and sustainable food stock, supporting food regulatory authorities and establishing the Supreme Council for Food Security.
