AMMAN — The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) teams, in collaboration with the Royal Department for Environment and Tourism Protection, on Tuesday seized quantities of unauthorised and expired cosmetic products inside a residential apartment in Amman. JFDA Director General Nizar Mhaidat said that approximately 50,000 pieces, weighing 5 tonnes, were confiscated. These products promoted through social media pages, triggered legal actions, with plans to refer those involved to the public prosecutor for the necessary legal measures, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The administration urged consumers to purchase cosmetic products exclusively from trustworthy establishments. It also encouraged individuals to report any observations, inquiries, or complaints through the toll-free complaint line 117114, email at [email protected], and via WhatsApp at the number (0795632000).
