AMMAN — The Jordan Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (IACC) on Tuesday announced the opening of registration for the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Hackathon competition that will run between Thursday and January 20.

A joint initiative launched last month in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD), the competition aims to develop an electronic game on integrity and anti-corruption, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The IACC stressed that the theme of the integrity-related Hackathon focuses on promoting entrepreneurial initiatives that use technology in the fight against corruption, while involving young people in national anti-corruption policies.

The competition invited young talents aged 18 to 25, especially those with programming and game design and those enthusiastic about challenges in these fields, to register via the official website of the IACC ‘s Innovation and Training Centre and its Facebook page.

The commission said that the winning teams will receive prizes range between JD5,000 and JD2,000.

The winning games will be showcased and promoted through the social media platforms of the IACC and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, the KAFD, the Sanad e-platform, and the e-platforms dedicated to youth.
