‘53 comprehensive, primary health centres saw expansion, maintenance in 2023’

AMMAN — Minister of Health Feras Al Hawari on Sunday highlighted the expansion and maintenance of 53 comprehensive and primary health centres and the opening of six comprehensive health centres during the year 2023.
During an interview with Al Mamlaka TV, the minister said that the new centres are the primary Hanina Health Centre and the primary Al Faisaliah Health Centre in Madaba governorate, the Al Mashrea Comprehensive Health Centre in the northern Jordan Valley, the Aqaba Comprehensive Health Centre, the Deir Al Kahf Health Centre and the Samek Health Centre in Amman.
In the field of developing services in 2023, second- and third-class health insurance subscribers and their beneficiaries were included in the emergency visits of private hospitals contracted by the Ministry of Health, with approximately 40,000 beneficiaries, in addition to chronic disease medication delivery services, which were expanded to include 23 hospitals and 94 health centres that provide to 22,632 beneficiaries.
The minister spoke about the expansion of hospitals and health centres which included 18 hospitals and 100 health centres, as well as the use of alternative energy systems in 31 health facilities 15 hospitals, 14 health centres and two specialised centres.
