AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Ahmad Safadi said on Thursday that regional stability hinges on a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause.
During an Arab Parliament’s session entitled, “Support for Palestine and Gaza”, at the Arab Leagues headquarters in Cairo, Safadi highlighted Jordan’s commitment in supporting Palestine and providing aid to Gaza despite the ongoing challenges and external threats, including drug trafficking along the Kingdom’s borders.
He added that the solution to the Palestinian question must take into account the legitimate right of Palestinians to establish their independent state, highlighting His Majesty King Abdullah's support to Palestinians and his efforts in "shaping international public opinion amid false narratives propagated by Israeli forces", the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The speaker also voiced rejection of reoccupying parts of Gaza, emphasising the unified stance against displacement of Palestinians. He also condemned the mass “genocide” taking place in the besieged strip.
Safadi also criticised the “Zionist” aggression and urged the entire Arab world to support Gaza's people and resistance, highlighting their resistance against Israel and their determination to uphold their legitimate rights.
