AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah returned home on Thursday after a working visit to the US, where he met with President Donald Trump.
Thousands of Jordanians from across the Kingdom organised rallies in Amman and near the Marka Airport to welcome His Majesty and HRH Crown Prince.
Lower House Speaker Ahmad Safadi, lawmakers, political parties leaders, tribal leaders, notables and representatives of civil society organisations participated in the rallies.
Mobs raised the Jordanian flags and slogans expressing support for the King and appreciation for his unwavering commitment to defending the nation’s interests, his firm stance on regional issues, particularly his rejection of forced displacement plans.
Along the route from Marka Military Airport to Raghadan Palace, large crowds gathered, waving flags and holding portraits of the King, voicing their strong backing for His Majesty’s leadership, particularly his opposition to the forced displacement of Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza. This demonstration of solidarity was a clear reflection of national pride and unity.
