Recent rainfall exceeds annual average by 3-48% — JMD

AMMAN — The recent rainfall has bumped the Kingdom’s rainfall totals between 3 and 48 per cent above its annual average, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said on Thursday. A JMD statement revealed that the southern and eastern regions between last Sunday and Wednesday received the highest quantity of precipitation, as 23.7 millimeters (mm) were recorded in Tafileh station, accounting for 12 per cent of its annual average, followed by Shoubak with 21.6 mm, which stood at 7 per cent of its annual average, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
