AMMAN — Jordan is the first country to take initiative, through the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) to break the siege on Gaza by delivering medical aid to the Jordan Field Hospital in the besieged coastal enclave, head of Lower House's Palestine Committee Firas Ajarmeh said on Thursday. Ajarmeh spoke in Istanbul during the launching ceremony of the international campaign to break the blockade on Gaza where he announced that he will participate in the international flotilla consisting of 1000 vessels sailing from Istanbul to Gaza carrying humanitarian assistance. Ajarmeh said that the "Free Gaza" flotilla is scheduled to set sail to Gaza next month and will include participants from around the world. The campaign accepted Ajarmeh’s proposal for immediate assistance, particularly to provide shelter for Palestinians who became homeless due to the Israeli occupation bombings.
