AMMAN — The Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI) and the Iraqi Federation of Industries (IFI) on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).

Its main goal is to establish an economic centre to display Jordanian products in Iraq.

JCI President Fathi Jaghbir and IFI head Adil Okab signed the MoU in Baghdad, according to a JCI statement, cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Jaghbir said that the memo outlines plans to establish a Jordanian economic centre in Iraq, which will oversee several initiatives designed to strengthen cooperation between both private sectors, with a focus on industrial development.

He announced plans to launch a joint industrial chamber between Jordan and Iraq, as well as a permanent exhibition in both countries. Okab also stressed the significance of the agreement.
