AMMAN — Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi on Saturday attended a celebratory festival titled "Thank You, Your Majesty", organised by local communities in Hitteen Camp in the Ruseifa region.
The event was attended by His Majesty’s Adviser for Tribal Affairs Atef Hajaya, Zarqa Governor Hassan Al Jbour and Director-General of the Department of Palestinian Affairs Rafiq Khirfan.
During the gathering, Issawi, who is also head of the follow-up committee for the implementation of Royal initiatives, emphasised Jordan's unwavering commitment, under His Majesty King Abdullah’s leadership, to supporting the Palestinian cause and protecting Jerusalem’s Islamic and Christian holy sites in line with the Hashemite Custodianship.
Issawi further highlighted His Majesty's commitment to improving services and living conditions for the inhabitants of the camps. He also commended His Majesty's continuous efforts in garnering international support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
