JUST graduate wins prestigious US architecture award

AMMAN — In recognition of her excellence in architectural and environmental research, architect Ikhlas Rababaa won the ARCC King Student Medal.
Rababaa is a PhD student at Virginia Tech University on a scholarship from the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST).
The award, granted by the US Architectural Research Centres Consortium, is given to only one student per year who demonstrates innovation, integrity and scholarship in architectural or environmental design research, according to a JUST statement.
JUST President Khalid Salem expressed the university's pride in Rababaa's achievement. Rababaa graduated from JUST in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in architecture engineering and a master's degree in architecture in 2020.
