Saqqaf meets with investors in Dead Sea Development Zone

AMMAN — Minister of Investment Kholoud Saqqaf on Sunday emphasised the importance of investment in the Dead Sea Development Zone (DSDZ), which aims to create new job opportunities and prompts the growth of Dead Sea tourism. Saqqaf made her remarks during a visit to the DSDZ, where she met with several investors, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The minister described the DSDZ as one of the “most important development zones” in the Kingdom, calling for encouraging investment, enhancing services, providing maintenance and environmental requirements. The volume of existing and contracted investments in the DSDZ stood at around JD724 million at the end of 2022. Jordan Free and Development Zones Group in 2022 signed many development agreements in the DSDZ with an expected investment volume of some JD34 million.
