AMMAN — The Cybercrime Unit is tracking all posts shared on social media platforms that emerged in the aftermath of the “unfortunate incidents” following a match between Al Faisaly and Al Wehdat football clubs, said the spokesperson of the Public Security Directorate.
The Cybercrime Unit is monitoring and addressing offensive publications that incite animosity, with the objective of identifying and apprehending individuals involved in the dissemination or reposting of such content, and subsequently referring them to the court, the PSD spokesperson said.
These posts promote hatred and aggravate tensions, he said, affirming that those engaged in publishing any posts containing offensive content will be apprehended and subject to legal measures.
