Lower House Committee meets with Egypt ambassador

AMMAN — Members and the head of the Jordanian-Egyptian Parliamentary Friendship Committee on Sunday met with the Egyptian ambassador to Jordan, Mohammed Samir. Both parties emphasised Jordan and Egypt’s shared positions regarding the Palestinian cause.
During the meeting, committee Chairman Ahmad Khalayleh reviewed the Lower House’s legislative accomplishments to develop Jordan's political life and encourage greater political participation among women and the youth.
The committee's members highlighted the need for Egypt to share its expertise in using natural gas to help reduce the Jordan’s high energy costs. The Egyptian envoy also emphasised the importance of overcoming obstacles facing both countries' investors, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
