Morocco’s ambassador to Jordan Nasseri passes away

AMMAN — The Moroccan Ambassador to the Kingdom, Mohammad Khaled Nasseri, passed away on Wednesday evening at a hospital in Rabat. Nasseri had served as Morocco’s Ambassador to Jordan since 2018, and had been instrumental in strengthening cooperation between the two nations.
His diplomatic work was highly respected, and he was appreciated by his colleagues, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Thursday.
Nasseri held several high-profile positions, including Minister of Communication and Government Spokesperson from 2007 to 2012.
He also served as the Director of the Higher Institute of Administration in Rabat between 1996 and 2000, and taught law and political science courses at various national universities and the National School of Administration in Morocco. Born in Casablanca in 1946, he was also a former leader of the Socialist Union of Popular Forces (SUPF) party.
