Water Ministry, police detect 22 water theft cases

AMMAN — The Water Ministry's Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ), in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate (PSD), on Saturday announced that it had detected 22 water theft cases in Wadi Al Seer, Qatraneh and Faggou, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

WAJ officials said in a ministry statement that one suspect in connection with water theft was arrested and referred to the relevant authorities.

The authority stressed that the ongoing campaign has yielded positive results, noting that the campaign targets all perpetrators across the Kingdom.

WAJ called on the public to report any attacks on water resources at 06-5600180.
