Army chief meets Georgia defence minister, Canadian ambassador

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen.Yousef Huneiti and the Georgian Minister of Defence Juansher Burchuladze on Wednesday held a meeting in Amman over military cooperation and the latest developments in the regional and international arenas.
Huneiti said that the Jordanian-Georgian relations constitute a “model” in facing various challenges and difficulties, adding that cooperation with the Georgian armed forces in all military fields is continuing through the exchange of mutual expertise and capabilities, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Burchuladze referred to the "deep” nature of relations between Jordan and Georgia, praising the "pivotal" role played by the Kingdom in combating terrorism and extremism, and instilling regional security and stability. Also on Wednesday, Huneiti met with Canadian Ambassador Tarik Ali Khan over means to enhance cooperation and coordination in various operational, training and logistical military fields in service of both countries’ armies, Petra added.
