Eastern Military Zone unit carries out drill

AMMAN — The Fourth Royal Mechanised/Field Marshal Habes Majali Battalion, one of the units of Wasfi Al Tal Second Mechanised Brigade of the Eastern Military Zone, on Thursday carried out a drill intended to ensure high levels of preparedness. 

Assistant Chairman of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) for Operations Brig. Gen. Abdullah Shdeifat was briefed by the brigade’s commander on the drill, which simulates possible security threats in the zone in order to train participants on various operational, logistical and training levels, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. 

The exercise is part of JAF’s annual training programmes to obtain higher levels of preparedness and better combat performance.
