German Academic Exchange Service organises networking event

AMMAN — The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) recently organised a networking gathering in Amman that brought together 30 representatives from 20 Jordanian universities.
Welcoming participants, Benjamin Schmaeling, director of the DAAD Regional Office, emphasised German-Jordanian cooperation in many fields, highlighting the gathering's role in widening the scope of academic exchange between the two countries.
Schmaeling said that a total of 118 partnership agreements have been signed between Jordanian and German academic institutions, with 2,300 Jordanians currently enrolled in German universities and 1,500 Jordanian graduates.
Leonie Lorenz , cultural attaché at the German embassy, also underlined the advanced German-Jordanian cooperation in many fields, especially in higher education.
