AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry on Sunday denounced Israel's procedures that restricted Christians' access to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in occupied Jerusalem and limited the number of people allowed celebrating the Holy Saturday.
Ministry Spokesperson Haitham Abul Foul said that all Israeli procedures aimed at restricting the right of Christians to free access to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre to perform their religious rituals are rejected and denounced, according to a ministry statement.
He also stressed that Israel, the occupying force, should respect the legal and historical status quo in Jerusalem and its holy sites and stop all restricting procedures imposed on the Christians of Jerusalem.
