39 productive projects for retired service personnel endorsed

AMMAN — The Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, in cooperation with the Economic and Social Association of Retired Servicemen and Veterans, has endorsed financing 39 productive projects for retired service personnel.

Planning Minister Nasser Shraideh on Tuesday said that the financing is part of the social and economic productivity enhancement projects and the loan portfolio that the ministry established to fund and implement small schemes for retired service personnel and residents of local communities, according to a ministry statement.

He added that the ministry has allocated JD3 million for these projects during the 2018-2020 period, noting that a total of 623 projects have been financed nationwide and 50 schemes will be endorsed before the end of the year to provide some 1,100 jobs.
