Drug smuggling attempt from Syria foiled — army

AMMAN — The Eastern Military Zone, in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Department, on Monday foiled an attempt to smuggle 1,055 palm-sized sheets of hashish from Syria into the Kingdom, according to a Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) source. JAF will "firmly deal" with any infiltration or smuggling attempt to protect the Kingdom's borders, the source stressed as reported by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
