AMMAN — The Eastern Military Zone, in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Department, on Tuesday foiled an attempt to infiltrate and smuggle 14 palm-sized sheets of hashish from Syria into the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
A source at the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) said that the rules of engagement were applied, leading to the retreat of the suspect to the Syrian territory.
JAF will "firmly deal" with any infiltration or smuggling attempt to protect the Kingdom's borders and its national security, the source stressed.
