AMMAN — The Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project is 17.7 per cent complete, said Iman Obaidat, director of roads implementation at the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, on Wednesday.
Construction on the BRT project between Amman and Zarqa has resumed after the necessary safety and health measures were taken in accordance with defence orders and instructions, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported Obaidat as saying.
During the period from April 13 to May 11, 3 per cent of the project’s four sections were completed, thanks to the low traffic volume, she said.
The construction work is being implemented with the minimum number of workers, she said, noting that anti-coronavirus measures are expected to bring delays, especially given the suspension of work.
