‘Anti-vagrancy efforts in hands of security entities while Defence Law in force’

AMMAN — Anti-vagrancy efforts are now the responsibility of security departments after the Defence Law was declared, Ayesh Awamleh, director of legal affairs at the Ministry of Social Development, said on Wednesday.
Awamleh, who is also the ministry’s representative to the National Centre for Security and Crisis Management, said that, following the activation of the Defence Law, security apparatuses are responsible for apprehending vagrants who break the curfew regulations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
