Health minister checks on Toutanji Hospital, orders maintenance, renovation

AMMAN — Minister of Health Ghazi Zaben on Sunday paid an unscheduled visit to Jamil Toutanji Hospital in Amman, where he checked on the services offered to patients.
Zaben said that the ministry is implementing a comprehensive action plan aiming at upgrading the quality of medical services, renovating and expanding hospitals and building new ones, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Zaben also said that developing human resources and the work environment lies at the core of the ministry's plans and programmes for the next stage, according to Petra.
He also said that incentives for Health Ministry personnel will be raised by 30 per cent before the end of March, adding that hospitals’ needs for specialists will be covered through outsourcing, Petra reported. Zaben instructed the ministry’s services department to implement renovate the Toutanji Hospital and carry out “immediate” maintenance to its operation rooms.
