JMI holds workshop for women training in media

AMMAN — The Jordan Media Institute (JMI) on Tuesday held a training workshop titled “Training on dealing with media” in cooperation with the Canadian Federations Forum, according to a JMI statement.
The workshop falls under a project for enabling women for leading roles in the Middle East and North Africa.
A total of 16 women participated in the workshop, which aimed at enhancing their abilities to deal with media, governance and television interviews.
JMI Dean Basim Tweissi, said that the institute developed a special policy to support gender equality in media, pointing out that they published several reports with women’s issues at their top concerns.
Project Director Sawsan Taweel said that the forum seeks to build up partnerships with local institutions to implement the project.
