JPA holds session on newspaper crisis

AMMAN — The Jordan Press Association (JPA) council on Sunday held  an extraordinary session to discuss the conditions of newspapers and the crises they are facing.

JPA President Rakan Saaydeh highlighted the importance of following up on problems in dailies, noting that the council always considers memoranda referred by journalists, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The council undertook a decision to form committees to follow up on journalists’ conditions, including the formation of labour committees from newspapers and media outlets to discuss journalists’ demands.
