During the phone call, in which Safadi congratulated Kono on assuming his post, both ministers expressed keenness to develop cooperation and discussed regional issues, Petra said. Kono, who was member of the Japan-Jordan friendship committee in the Japanese parliament, praised the Kingdom’s role in enhancing the security and stability in the region.
