Fire at Jabal Al Hussein theatre extinguished

AMMAN — A total of 150 firefighters on Sunday extinguished a blaze that extended over 3,000 square metres at the Opera House Theatre in Jabal Al Hussein neighbourhood, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The fire caused no injuries, the Civil Defence Department (CDD) said, but resulted in material damage, after engulfing the second, third and fourth floors of the building. No activities were being held at the theatre at the time, Petra reported. The CDD said a committee has been formed to investigate the cause of the fire.
